I have a father but he's mean and emotionally neglectful
that's sad

..I have a brother who looks out for me
being fatherless isn't limited to a father being physically absent or dead, but also if he really isn't being the rather he was created to be and performing his role properly.
the fact that he isn't the role model he needs to be in your life but is "mean and emotionally neglectful" as you've said means there's a place in your heart that longs to be filled with a true father.
in this you share with the millions out there that long for a true father to be there in their lives.
